EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Alvin Henderson is from Pittsburgh, PA. He served as the Director of Emergency Services for the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services as where he had leadership responsibility of 911 Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Academy, and Fire Marshals’ Office. Alvin moved to Fort Myers in 2018 and joined the Cape Coral Fire Department as the Emergency Management Division Manager in April 2019.

 

Alvin has his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and completed the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy at the Emergency Management Institute. He is a Certified Emergency Manager and a Certified Fire Protection Specialist. His professional and personal philosophy is to see people through, not to see through people. 

 

The Emergency Management Division Manager is the executive officer who manages the Emergency Management Division and directs the City's emergency management activities in order to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from all hazards.
